Beckie's Mental Mess

On this day April 2, 1970, 20 million Americans participated in massive rallies all over the country for setting goals and awareness to Earth Day.  This raising awareness of the deterioration of the environment, and to spur the government action to support a healthier and more sustainable world we live in.

By the end of that year, the following ACTS were in place:  The US Environmental Protection Agency set passage of the Clean Air & Water, as well as the Endangered Species Act.

Tips and ideas encourage a better environment. This poster can be displayed in the classroom all year round.

US household water use is on the decline, approaching levels that haven’t been seen since the mid 90’s.

Many nations are committed to addressing the effects of Global Warming and greenhouse effects.

The rate of wildlife extinction is at its worse since the dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago.

Do something today to make a difference tomorrow in order to save our planet.

That is so beautiful. I'm going to learn it, memorize it, and everyday at school, recite it under my breath to the pledge.
